Wedding in Cotswolds

A STEP by step guide to making your wedding in Cotswolds perfect at approved premises...

Step 1
Book your venue with the manager of the approved premises of your choice, deciding date and time of ceremony .

Step 2
The manager of your venue will give you details of how and when to contact the Superintendent Registrar ( who will advise you on the legal preliminaries to your marriage, organise and conduct the ceremony ) and the Registrar ( who will legally register your marriage.

Step 3
Book the registration staff to conduct your ceremony by immediately telephoning the Superintendent Registrar of the district which the premises come under to ensure they are available to conduct your ceremony. The manager of the premises of your choice will put you in contact with the appropriate office.

Remember - no registration staff, no marriage.

Step 4
Make an appointment with the Superintendent Registrar of the district in which you live to complete the legal documentation of the marriage. Timing is crucial at this point and you will be given either a provisional booking form which gives you full details or advice at the time of the booking the registration staff in Step 3.

Step 5
Just before the wedding in Cotswolds, arrange an appointment with the S.R who is conducting your marriage to finalise the details of your ceremony. Music, poetry, additional promises are all things that you may wish to consider.
