• The Hotel has alot of country club charm and the fact that the hotel is not part of a major chain makes a real difference,you like that personal touch, situated close to all the major routes this Hotel is a real gem as you feel as though you are in the middle of the country side... • The ambience in the dining room was good, with a log fire and soft lighting. The food and service were excellent and we had a superb meal for a very reasonable price. There is a small bar next to the dining room for a pre dinner drink and persusal of the menu. The waitress took our order while we were still in the bar and then showed us to our table when our meal was ready. We like this way of doing things. It makes for a very relaxing evening. We were also happy with the breakfast the following morning. High quality jams and marmelade served with croissants and brioche, delicious yoghurts from a local farm and the tea was an excellent brand. • The hotel was picturesque and in really ice grounds. The manager was on Reception when we arrived and he told us that he had had been at the hotel for 1 week. During our stay he was also the barman, the waiter (dinner and breakfast) and the wine waiter. He appeared to be working really hard to make our stay enjoyable. The dinner menu appeared to have changed - it was not the same menu that was in our room - and the meals that we had from the 'specials' menu were outstanding. The following morning my wife opened her birthday cards and presents and went to breakfast which was also very good. Alan, Rotherham
• We only booked this hotel on the same day as we were travelling south and wanted a stop over. It was a pleasant surprise and we will definitely stay here again. It was only a short journey off the motorway but we were in some lovely countryside and it was in such a quiet location.Josie, Leeds

• Had a great stay at Bignell Park. We went to Bicester for a friend's wedding. Many of our friends ended up staying at the Travellodge and payed more than we did to stay at this lovely hotel. We picked up a room from laterooms for £70 including breakfast, our friends had to pay £60 for the travel lodge and then another £10 to check in early. We had no such problems at Bignell Park. The service was great as was the breakfast in the morning. George, London
